WETTABLE POWDER (W.P.)
W.P.s are dry formulations that form a suspension when mixed with water before spraying. W.P. formulations consist of active ingredients blended with surfactants, stabilizers, and diluents. They are milled for size reduction to prevent clogging of the nozzles of sprays. Wetting and dispersing agents are used in this formulation to facilitate the suspension of the particles in water. Therefore, high loading of the active ingredient and its uniform distribution is possible in this emulsion type.
WATER DISPERSIBLE GRANULE (WDG)
WDGs are granular and non-dusty formulation which dissolves quickly when added to water in a spray tank to form particle suspension. Adequate agitation must be maintained to prevent sedimentation of solids. They deliver solid active ingredients for target organisms. High loading of the active ingredient and its uniform distribution is possible in this type of emulsion.
